Yary is a contemporary figurative and intuitive abstract painter whose work is deeply inspired by nature. Born and raised in the vibrant Caribbean, she draws on the lush landscapes, vivid colors, and rich cultural heritage of her childhood to inform her artistic vision.
From an early age, Yary exhibited a natural affinity for art, often exploring the interplay between light, color, and texture in her surroundings. The Caribbean’s diverse flora and fauna serve as a continual source of inspiration, infusing her work with organic forms and a vibrant palette that echoes the island’s rhythms.
As she matured, Yary began to paint the female form, celebrating its strength, grace, and complexity. Her pieces often blend figurative elements with abstract interpretations, creating a harmonious balance between representation and emotional expression.
Yary’s work is characterized by dynamic brushwork and layered textures, inviting viewers into a sensory experience that transcends traditional boundaries. No Plan Just Paint is my way of making art and moving through it. I illustrate quirky, whimsical scenes: some inspired by real places and encounters, others entirely imagined. There are no rules, just an intuitive process. A line becomes a street, a shape becomes a building, and suddenly a whole world appears.
No Plan Just Paint is both a reminder and a method: let go of the plan, follow the feeling, trust the process.
My work is playful and lighthearted, often bending perspective, exaggerating details, or mixing the ordinary with the impossible. I draw with curiosity, not precision, with a sense of wonder, not control.
It’s less about capturing what something looks like, and more about how it might feel if it were a little weirder, looser, or freer.

To make a difference using my art as a resource. 10% of proceeds will be donated to the restoration and protection of natural resources in Puerto Rico, my homeland. Donations will also be made to art projects benefiting the community.

Her work is always evolving as she continues to learn, explore, and practice different art techniques. She identifies with abstract art and her work is heavily inspired by feminine delicacy and fashion.
